Foundation prepped for upcoming anniversary

Thursday, August 25, 2011

TERRE HAUTE -- In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation will host a Community Expo Sept. 15.

The event will take place at the Hulman Center on the campus of Indiana State University.

All not-for-profit organizations that have an endowment fund within the Foundation were given the opportunity to display their organization and its services.

Currently, there are more than 40 not-for-profit organizations that are participating in the Expo. Each will have the opportunity to set up a booth and showcase their organization.

At the end of the evening, those in attendance will be given a chance to vote for their favorite not-for-profit display. Each participating organization will have a chance to win a portion of $20,000 for their endowment fund.

The Expo will run from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $15 each and may be purchased at the Foundation office, 2901 Ohio Blvd., Suite 153, Terre Haute, or by sending a check via mail.

When mailing, include how many tickets and a return mailing address so the tickets may be mailed. In addition, tickets may be purchased by contacting Mary Yelton at 812-878-9073.
