Staunton United Methodist Church

Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30. Scott Aselage is our Pastor and Glenna Simons is our pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next food pantry day will be Wednesday, Aug. 31. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

A special "thank you" to everyone who donated food items at the annual meeting of the Clay County Farm Bureau. The generous donation to our food pantry was greatly appreciated.

Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheelchair equipped.

Children's church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building. Sunday evening service and youth group meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group is at 7 p.m.

The annual church picnic is set for Sunday, Sept. 18, following morning worship service.

Thanks to Jaicee Stewart for the special music last Sunday.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
