The Melody Maker's of Clay County are preparing to begin their seventh year of singing.
The chorus' first practice will be Monday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m., at St. John Church on State Road 42.
The group will practice music that it will perform at Purdue University on June 3, 2013, with all other state choruses.
Scott Buchanan, Director of Choral Activates at Indiana State University, will direct approximately 350 singers that day.
Membership in the Melody Makers is open to anyone who enjoys singing, and an interested person does not have to be a member of a home extension club.
The Melody Makers have approximately 25 members and a new director in Jerry Morgan.
