Cemetery restoration workshop set for October

The Wabash Valley Genealogical Society will sponsor a cemetery restoration workshop Saturday, Oct. 8, from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m.

The workshop will take place at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Fayette Township, New Goshen, Ind.

Brad Manzenberger, owner of Stone Revival Cemetery Restoration, Franklin, will lead the workshop.

During the workshop, participants will learn about Indiana law as it relates to cemetery care and access.

In addition, the proper techniques and procedures for cleaning and preserving grave markers will be demonstrated.

Participants will then complete gravestone cleaning and resetting.

Registration fee is $10 for WVGS members and $15 for non-members.

Advance registration is required.
