Clay County first responders were treated by members of Eastside Christian Church Tuesday at the church's annual Tribute Dinner.

The dinner has taken place since 2002, and the first dinner was conducted at Eddie's Sandwich Shoppe.

Approximately 32 people attended Tuesday's dinner.

Church members served a meal of ham and beans, cornbread, brats, salad, cottage cheese, deviled eggs and beverages.

In addition, a cake was served complimentary of the law office of Amos Thomas.

Riddell National Bank provided table service, and Sunrise Restaurant and A1 Auto provided gift certificates.

Other area businesses, including Hoosier Homes and Land, provided pens, pads and clips.

House of Hope Assistant Director Brian Rosano provided grace at the event.

Following the meal, first responders were offered the opportunity to offer their thoughts regarding the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001.
