Volunteers are needed to serve as members of the review teams during the 2012 agency program funding review process.
Volunteers who serve on the UWWV review teams recommend to the United Way Community Impact Committee and, ultimately to the United Way Board of Directors, how the funds raised in the United Way Campaign should be used to the greatest benefit for the people of the Wabash Valley and how the money should actually be distributed to more than 80 health and human service programs of the United Way partner agencies.
The time commitment for participation in this year's review process is early January through mid-February.
During this period, volunteers will meet five or six times, usually for two hours per session.
All meetings take place in the early evening.
Some extra time will also be necessary to visit an agency and their appropriate health and human service program(s).
All United Way donors are eligible to serve on the review teams.
Approximately 90 volunteers are needed for the process.
United Way of the Wabash Valley's partner agencies and their health and human service programs cover six counties of the Wabash Valley, including Clay, Parke, Sullivan, Vermillion and Vigo in Indiana, and Clark in Illinois.
