The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announced Friday the patch and rehabilitation project from the Wabash River Bridge to State Road 59 is scheduled to begin construction on or about Monday.

Wabash Valley Asphalt said it will begin restricting westbound traffic in the right lane while crews strengthen the median shoulders.

The project on Interstate-70 is a patch and rehabilitation project from the bridge to SR 59. It was awarded to Wabash Valley Asphalt for $4.3 million.

It will have the interstate down to one lane in a four-mile work zone 24 hours a day, Sunday at 9 p.m., until Friday at noon.

The project is scheduled for completion Aug. 31, 2012.
