The Northview freshman football team has split its last two contests after claiming a Saturday win over Owen Valley, 20-13, and falling to Danville by a 28-14 score.
Against the Patriots, Northview got its scoring underway on a 32-yard run by Zach Hyde. Steven Lovett got into the act as he caught a 12-yard scoring pass from Cade Carter and Brock Dickison ran in the two-point conversion. The touchdown was set up on a 45-yard halfback pass from Hyde to Carter.
The final score of the game came on a five-yard run by Hyde in the fourth quarter.
On defense, Kevin Coahran had an interception.
Against Danville, Buzz Munoz scored both touchdowns, one on a 12-yard run and the other from three yards out. Dickison had a two-point conversion and Coahran intercepted another pass.
The Knights (2-4 overall) host Greencastle on Sept. 26.
