Still no progress on street

To the Editor:

Well folks, here we are six months into the famous cave in on Johns Street.

Nothing has been done, and I don't suppose there will be.

The city is playing the waiting game in the meantime.

I got a notice from my mortgage company. I have to have flood insurance. This is not a natural flood zone, but a man-made mess-up.

So I think the city should pay the insurance policy.

City says this problem we're having is from 20 years ago.

What about now?

Fall rains are about to set in. The problems are at the Lambert Street intersection. If the storm sewer is stubbed off, fill the famous hole on Johns Street and fix the right thing.
