TERRE HAUTE -- High school students and adults looking to attend college in the future are encouraged to check out their higher education options during the Vigo County College Fair Thursday, from 6:30-8 p.m., at Terre Haute South High School, 3737 S. Seventh St., Terre Haute.
The free event is part of Indiana's College Go Week activities.
It has been organized by high school counselors, other Vigo County School Corporation officials and local college admissions offices.
Students throughout the Wabash Valley are encouraged to take advantage of the event.
Approximately 40 colleges and universities from Indiana and Illinois are planning to have representatives available to discuss academic options at their respective institutions.
The list includes area options Indiana State University, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, St. Mary-of-the-Woods College, Ivy Tech Community College, Harrison College, Lincoln Trail College, Eastern Illinois University and Vincennes University.
Other colleges participating include Indiana University, Purdue University, Ball State University, Anderson University, Ashford University, Brescia University, Butler University, Cottey College, DePauw University, Hanover College, Illinois College, Indiana Tech, IUPUI, Manchester College, Marian College, Martin University, Oakland City University, Saint Joseph's College, Trine University, University of Evansville, University of Indianapolis, University of Saint Francis and University of Southern Indiana.
There will also be information booths for the 21st Century Scholars, ISM Education Loans and Air Force ROTC programs.
