Ruth Sciotto was beside herself.

The Clay County Emergency Food Pantry representative couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Through a one-day food drive, Riddell National Bank managed to collect enough food and other non-perishable items to fill a table.

"What a blessing," Sciotto said. "This is great. It's amazing."

All of the bank's locations had conducted "Dress Down Day," Friday, Sept. 23, as a food drive for the pantry.

Residents that brought in a canned food item or other items during the drive received a "green" grocery bag.

The bank also received $558 in donations through the food drive.

Those in need are encouraged to stop by the food pantry, 506 E. Pinckley St., Brazil, during operational hours of 9 a. m.-noon, Monday-Friday.

Officials stated the pantry will re-open if they receive emergency calls.

Riddell National Bank will also conduct a Customer Appreciation Day Friday.

From the hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m., those in attendance will receive free hot dogs.

All residents are encouraged to attend.

There will be prize drawings as well, including a grand prize $100 gift certificate.
