A benefit for the family of Kenny Stewart has been scheduled.
A yard sale will take place Saturday, from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at Christ Community Church, two miles north of Brazil on State Road 59.
The Clay County Friends of the Library will conduct their last book sale of the year Saturday.
The sale will take place in the bookstore across from the Brazil Public Library, and will run from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., each day. For more information, call 443-5861.
A biscuits and gravy breakfast has been scheduled to take place at the Staunton Community Center, beginning at 7 a.m., Saturday.
The freewill offering will benefit the Clay County Humane Shelter.
Life Chain Set For Sunday
The Brazil Life Chain will take place Sunday, at 2 p.m.
The event is an international hour of prayer for the nation and a peaceful, prayerful public witness on behalf of the unborn.
Life Chain participants will stand and pray on sidewalks of major roadways in cities across the nation and Canada, holding professionally printed signs.
The gathering in Brazil will be at the intersection of United States 40 and Alabama Street.

Board Of Health Meeting
The Clay County Board of Health will conduct its quarterly meeting Monday, at noon.
The meeting will take place in the conference located in the lower level of the Medical Office Building, 1214 E. National Ave., Brazil.
The Clay County Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, in the lower level of the Clay County Museum.
The guest speaker will be Tommy Kleckner, representative from the Indiana Landmarks Western Regional Office, Terre Haute.
