Paper launch online straw poll

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

The Brazil Times has launched a straw poll for the 2011 Election.

The survey may be accessed by clicking on the link located on the front page of The Times' website, www.thebraziltimes.com.

Results from polls will be published in The Times until the election.

A straw poll or straw vote is a vote with nonbinding results. Straw polls provide important interactive dialogue among movements within large groups, reflecting trends like organizations and motivation.

The poll is not scientific. Voters are not restricted by eligibility to vote in specific districts.

Results are provided as entertainment and as an indication of voter opinion for those using The Brazil Times' website.

The straw poll asks general questions, including questions regarding specific races such as the City of Brazil Mayoral race, city council races and clerk/treasurer race.
