WEST TERRE HAUTE -- White Violet Center for Eco-Justice, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, will host a Harvest Dinner fundraiser Saturday, Oct. 8, at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods in honor of its 15th anniversary.
The celebration will be in the orchard and in Reilly Auditorium in Owens Hall.
Hors d'oeuvres will be served with a wine bar during a silent auction beginning at 5 p.m.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The meal will be prepared by local Chef Kris Kraut, executive chef at Baesler's Market.
Locally prepared food will be used for the dinner.
White Violet Center provides opportunities for many individuals and groups to participate in creating systems that support justice and sustainability, locally and globally.
Through organic agriculture, eco-justice education and advocacy, White Violet Center strives to promote an awareness and a way of living that supports all life.
Registration deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 4. Tickets are $80 for individuals of $500 for a table of seven.
