How smart to do that during covered bridge. Cutting thru the park allows locals to circumvent the one hour wait in line. C'mon man.

I cant believe it!!! We need to close roads in brazil because they are to horrible to drive a car on... were are our priority's at.. wake up people...

"were are our priority's at"...apparently our priorities are not punctuation and grammar.

But to the point...I agree, the timing could have been better. And as far as other roads needing more attention, that is undoubtedly true. However it is very common to fix the areas that are most utilized first.

Look at it this way, if you are having guests over to your house, you may really straighten up your living room and dining room, even though maybe your bedroom needed the cleaning worse.

Well my grammer may not be great.. but I know several people with car problems like bent rims, busted tires and mechanic bills from damage, my grammer never caused anyone any damage.

I guess people who think the park is a PRIORITIE or whatever don't have a chance to drive the real roads, town taxpayers live and try to sleep but hear cars banging down the street because of huge holes.

If you keep up on your house you won't need to clean up just because guests are expected. thats kinda deceiving. Sorry about my grammer but my point is valid...

Our Streets need the work more than the park. quess the elected officials really DON'T care about our streets! What a waste of a vote!

New pavement doesn't change the warn down park.

WOW! I cannot believe what I have just read. Having driven on and observed the condition of some heavily traveled streets in town, I am truly amazed that THOSE streets haven't had any repairs made in YEARS, but the park is getting their roads paved ! And it is very true, that driving on some of the streets are tearing up tires, rims, shocks, among other expensive-to-replace parts on vehicles.....money that a lot of people don't have to spend on these repairs. Oh, and yeah, what an inconvenient time for those park road paving jobs. I'm just sayin'......

Very well said computerdx . could not agree with you more . and especially this part ...

If you keep up on your house you won't need to clean up just because guests are expected. thats kinda deceiving. Sorry about my grammer but my point is valid...

That made me chuckle ...... But we may as well give it a rest Brazil will never fix these what they call roads . or anything else for that matter . but I guess we can say we have good paved roads in the park ....

Think I might move into the concession stand. That with the nice new roads it will be located on, it will probably be much more valuable than my home.

I'm glad we are keeping up on our parks. This money has to be used or it will be lost. It cannot be used on anything other than the parks. Our parks are beautiful. Let's keep it that way!!!!!

Doing this during covered bridge is stupid. Couldn't they have waited another week till the festival was over with. Many local citizens use the park to avoid the traffic at Pinkley and 59. I hope if the officials want a pizza delivered they are willing to wait more than an hour.

I don't think the park should be used as a 'cut through' during the bridge festival to begin with. It only increases the wear and need for repaving....

I want to say that I DO appreciate the park and through the many years have enjoyed many festivals and great times there, and I understand that the roads need to be kept up, as does all of the park. However, my statement about the city streets still stands!!! Hoping everyone has a good day.
