TERRE HAUTE -- Union Hospital's RTS Bereavement Services is sponsoring Terre Haute's 24th annual "Walk To Remember," Sunday.
During "Walk To Remember," parents, family members, friends and caregivers join together to acknowledge babies who have died through miscarriage, tubal pregnancy, stillbirth or newborn death.
October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month to remember the 870,000 babies that die during pregnancy or shortly after birth in the United States each year.
Registration for the walk begins at 1 p.m., at the Ozok Shelter in Deming Park (near Larrison Pavilion), Terre Haute.
The one-mile walk begins after registration.
A memorial service will take place following the walk.
Refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program.
To participate in the walk, or to have a name included in the memorial booklet, call Sue Hoopengarner, Union Hospital RTS Bereavement Services, at 812-238-4978.
