The Clay County Community Foundation, Inc., awarded a grant to the Court Ordered Placement for Education (C.O.P.E.) program Saturday during the fourth Harvest Hoedown. On hand for the presentation included Clay County Community Corrections Executive Director Mary Brown and Clay County Community Foundation representative Mike Lawson. The C.O.P.E. program is a partnership between Clay Community Schools, The Clay County Circuit Court, Clay County Prosecutor, Clay County Sheriff and Clay County Community Corrections. It is composed of supervised educational activities, behavior modification/skill building activities and community service.
