Berry speaks at meeting

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

The Clay County Republican Club will conduct its monthly meeting Monday, Oct. 17, at 7 p.m., at the Clay County Senior Citizen's Center,

The guest speaker will be Indiana Auditor Tim Berry.

Berry was elected the state's 54th auditor in November 2006.

He serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the state.

In the fall of 2009 under Berry, the state implemented a fully integrated financial system -- the first of its kind for all state government -- providing more efficiency.

Prior to his election as Indiana Auditor, Berry served two terms as Indiana Treasurer. In that role, he earned a record $1.7 billion for Hoosier taxpayers through investment of state dollars.

He also led the effort for legislation providing tax incentives for families saving for college through the CollegeChoice 529 plan.

He also served as Chair of the Wireless 911 Advisory Board.

The public is invited to attend the meeting and Berry will take questions.

I am a registered democrat and I have to say that I am disappointed in my party! Unless I have missed it, (and I may have)... where are our meetings located? Where is the Democratic Headquarters?

The GOP does a great job of notifying the public of their meetings, and it is great to have Tim Berry from the State come to Brazil.

Hey Republicans..Can I come to your meeting?
