Northview dispatched a solid Crawfordsville volleyball team in three games on Tuesday night with a 25-16, 25-14, 25-22 victory that moves the Knights within a match of sectional play.
The Knights' offense ran well as Briana Cook passed out 16 assists and Taylor Hess added 14 to go with nine digs and two aces.
"We played really well and Briana and Taylor really ran the offense well tonight," Northview coach Scott McDonald said. "We were really happy with our defensive pursuit of the ball."
Ashlen Buck contributed 17 digs with Audrey Clark adding 10 to go with one ace. The Knights' hitters were also strong on defense as Brylie Riddell posted 13 digs along with eight kills, two blocks and five aces. McKenzi Kumpf added 13 kills with 10 digs and a block followed by Shelbi Morris with 11 kills and two digs.
"Crawfordsville had some nice hitters and we were able to handle them pretty well," McDonald said. "Brylie had another big night all around and Ashlen had another great night, along with Audrey. Shelbi and McKenzi made good adjustments to the blocking schemes they faced and hit the ball very well."
Northview also got a dig and an assist from Alexus Bex, three kills and three blocks from Mikayla Rowan and three digs, a kill and an assist by Hannah Willocks.
The Knights are now 28-3 overall and host Plainfield for Senior Night Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
