Chase F. Yocom

Purdue University awarded about 1,400 degrees to students following summer classes.

Caroline Disney

Caroline Disney, daughter of Marjorie and Douglas Disney of Brazil, has enrolled at Earlham College. Disney is a first-year.

Earlham is a selective, liberal arts college in Richmond, Indiana. Engaging students with a changing world, Earlham is dedicated to the development of effective ways to integrate international perspectives in education. The College offers 40 majors in the sciences, humanities and social sciences. Earlham graduates are well prepared for further study; nearly half of Earlham alumni graduating in the last 10 years enrolled in graduate or professional school. Earlham is a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III school.

Two students from Clay County were among the 1,400 students who received degrees during graduation ceremonies Aug. 13, at Indiana Wesleyan University's main campus in Marion.

Graduating were:

Corrie Bird - Batson, Brazil, M.B.A., health-care management

Kristal Lagro, Brazil, M.S.N., primary-care nursing

Indiana Wesleyan University is an evangelical Christian comprehensive university of The Wesleyan Church, which has its world headquarters in Indianapolis. The University was founded in 1920 and is committed to liberal arts and professional education.

More than 3,300 students are enrolled in traditional programs on the University's main campus in Marion. Another 12,500 adult learners attend classes at regional campuses in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio and online.
