My name is William G. "Bill" Lovett, Democratic candidate for Brazil City Council Ward 4.

I am a lifelong resident of Clay County, residing in my Brazil home for the last 39 years.

I am a 1958 graduate of Ashboro High School. I worked as a meat cutter and department manager for 50 years in Brazil, Terre Haute, and most recently, Clay City, before retiring in 2008.

I am currently employed by the City of Brazil, Storm and Wastewater Department.

I have been married and widowed twice, have six children and 40 grandchildren.

I have served as a City Councilman for Ward 4 for 16 years, Brazil City Police Reserve Officer for 13 years, City of Brazil Board of Public Works for 10 years, Brazil Zoning Board for four years, and Forest Park Golf Course/City Council Liaison for the last three years.

During my last two terms, I have worked on the Pinckley Street Repaving Project, which was completed in October 2010, and the Brazil Water Tower Replacement Project, which is currently under construction.

I enjoy working in my community and would like the opportunity to continue to work on paving as many city streets as possible and see the completion of the water tower and United States 40 project. I have the experience and desire to represent Ward 4 during the next administration and would appreciate your support.

Feel free to contact me anytime at 812-239-5761.
