In the article, "Grillin' Time: Residents meet with candidates at forum," which appeared in the Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2011, issue of The Brazil Times, Independent Mayoral candidate Steve Lamb was quoted as saying, "The city ordinance about the lawn mowing is being enforced. There are several leans against properties of people that have not kept their property up. We do mow it and then if they don't pay us in a certain length of time then there is a lean put on their property taxes." Lamb was discussing liens on properties, not leans. The Brazil Times apologizes for the inconvenience.

Steve ,

you are worried about yards, maybe you should focus more on the streets!

Maybe we should fine the city because of the condition our streets are in. It seems to me, fair is fair.
