The Clay County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation, will offer "Wabash Valley Gives," an online platform to linking area citizens with non-profit agencies.
"Wabash Valley Gives," allows area non-for-profit organizations to share their need for volunteers and funding to interested citizens in the community.
"Wabash Valley Gives," is a way for the community to learn about the charitable community, find out what volunteer opportunities are available, learn about the funding needs that exist within the local area and get involved personally or through online contributions in the philanthropic organizations that interest them.
The Community Foundation will conduct training sessions for non-profit organizations on how to use "Wabash Valley Gives," for the benefit of their organizations in Clay, Sullivan and Vigo counties.
The Clay County training will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 24, at Riddell National Bank, 1 E. National Ave., Brazil.
All organizations with a 501(c)(3) determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service or governmental entities are encouraged to attend. RSVP for the session by e-mailing firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 1-877-232-2230.
Additional training sessions will also take place in Sullivan and Vigo counties Oct. 31, and Nov. 7, respectively.
The sessions are free, but seating is limited.
