ISSMA State Finals tickets on sale Tuesday at NHS

Monday, October 24, 2011

Tickets for the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) State Finals, which will take place Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, are available at Northview High School.

The school has 800 adults and 200 student tickets available. Last year, the school nearly sold out.

According to Northview Band Director Bob Medworth, buying the tickets from the school "saves you time and walking on Saturday."

Cost for the tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students. Children 2-under and not occupying a seat will be admitted free.

Tickets are on sale in the NHS music office 8-11 a.m., Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and 8-9 a.m., Wednesday.

In addition, tickets will be available Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evening from band parents before and after band practice.

Checks should be made to Northview High School Band. Otherwise, bring exact cash.

Those purchasing tickets from the school are urged to receive a copy of the Parent Information Handout from ISSMA.

The Class B State Finals are slated to begin at 1 p.m. The Marching Knights are slated to perform at 2:46 p.m. Other Class B bands performing Saturday include Plainfield, Greenwood, North Side, Jasper, Floyd Central, Goshen, Munster, Concord and DeKalb. Greenwood captured the Class B title last year while the Marching Knights placed fifth.
