I am happily married to Troy McQueen, who is currently a firefighter and proudly served four years in the United States Air Force.
Together, we have two children, Myra, who is 5, and her younger brother, Sawyer, who had his first birthday this year.
I am a proud member of the First United Methodist Church, the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary and the Indiana League of Municipal Clerk-Treasurers.
I'm a graduate of both Indiana State University, with a Bachelor's degree, and Ivy Tech State College, with an Associate's degree.
In 2007, I was elected by you, the people, as Brazil's City Clerk-Treasurer and for that, "I sincerely thank you."
My goal is to continue serving this great community.
As Clerk-Treasurer, I have attended all the training made available to me, as I pledged that I would.
Over the past four years, I have provided guidance to city officials on ways to reduce spending, while substantially improving the City of Brazil's cash balance.
I will continue to have an open door policy and be accountable to all citizens. I will continue moving our city forward.
Deputy Clerk-Treasurer Lori Brown and I will continue to attend financial training sessions offered by the State Board of Accounts and the Indiana Association of Clerk-Treasurers.
Finally, I will continue to be a full-time Clerk-Treasurer making this position my first and only working priority.
I look forward to seeing you on Election Day, Nov. 8, 2011.
