Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building. Sunday evening service starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group are at 7.

We will have an ice cream social Sunday, Nov. 6, after the evening service. Ice cream and drinks will be provided as we celebrate the "Dip Out the Debt" fundraiser for the church building project. Plan to bring a favorite dessert to go along with the ice cream.

Staunton United Methodist Church

The weekly Zumba session will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 5:30 p.m., in the church basement.

Our pastor's wife, Diana Aselage, a certified Zumba instructor, leads the sessions.

Everyone is invited to attend and donations go to benefit the church.

On Saturday, Nov. 5, we will have a "Soup/Sandwich/Silent Auction" evening in the church basement.

This fun event will run from 5-7 p.m. The auction will include beautiful craft items, many of which will be great for Thanksgiving and Christmas decorating.

Everyone is invited, with all donations and auction proceeds going to the Food Pantry.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m., with church service following at 10:30. Scott Aselage is our Pastor and Glenna Simons is our pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month. The next food pantry day will be Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
