Community members may be seeing a familiar face on their TV screens this year.

Adam Clark, a Northview graduate and business management student at Ivy Tech, was recently cast in a commercial that will run throughout the Midwest.

Clark is the front-end supervisor at the Brazil Kroger and was handpicked from the district to go to a casting call.

Of all the Kroger employees, around 30 were sent to Indianapolis to audition. Three weeks later, Clark found out he had been chosen, along with four other employees, to be in the commercial.

"I was ecstatic," he said. "I was in shock; I didn't think I'd get selected."

Clark said he has always wanted to be on TV. Now, he's not only in a commercial, but his face is on billboards and posters.

Clark, who's worked at Kroger for four-and-a-half years, plans to enter the management-training program next year.

He hopes this commercial can help him move-up faster in the company.

"My goal is to be the youngest president of the company," 21-year-old Clark said.

Clark has not seen the commercial on television yet, but he did watch it online.

"I was speechless," he said of seeing himself on a commercial. "It's weird how people recognize me now."

The commercial will air until the end of the year.

Adam, I have no doubt you will succeed in your goal! I have seen you work the store and your staff are friendlier, you open lines when people are waiting, making sure customers don't forget items at the lines...it has been a long time since I have been so impressed with a young person taking control such as you have! Good luck sir, and I wish you continued success!
