The Harmony Town Council met Tuesday night for its monthly meeting, where it discussed mainly old business.
President Janice Gooch updated the council on the tornado siren.
"The tornado siren is up ... as far as I know the electric company has not connected it," she said.
Meanwhile, the council has agreed to be an option for a disaster shelter, should the Red Cross need it. Red Cross representatives attended the October council meeting to inform the council on the shelter stipulations. The council has filled out all the necessary paperwork and is waiting for the final steps to be completed.
Lastly, the council purchased new rugs for the entryway to the Harmony Community Center.
The Harmony Town Council meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m., in the Harmony Community Center.
