The North Clay boys' basketball teams fell in a pair of contests with Woodrow Wilson on Monday night. The sixth-grade team fell by a 42-23 score while the seventh-grade lost 39-25 to the Warriors.
In the sixth-grade game, Woodrow Wilson jumped out to a 13-1 lead in the first period as Angelo Cooper led the Warriors with an 11-point outburst.
North Clay was unable to overcome the early deficit in falling by 19 points.
Dylan Nussell led the Knights with 10 points followed by four points apiece from Andrew Osborn and Anthony Drury. Both Logan Metz and Andy Young had two points and Jalen Satterfield had one point.
In the seventh-grade contest, both Braelyne Compton and Kalen Shane had seven points followed by four each by Austin Huey and Thomas Hess. Drew Lumsdon added one point.
The sixth-grade falls to 0-3 overall while the seventh-grade is now 1-2 this season. The seventh-grade plays host to Owen Valley this evening at 6 p.m. The sixth-grade hosts South Vermillion on Monday at 6 p.m.
