Police investigating burglaries

Thursday, November 10, 2011

On Thursday, Brazil City Police Chief Larry Pierce notified The Brazil Times about two recent home burglaries.

According to Pierce, the burglaries were believed to have taken place while residents were sleeping. The burglars, Pierce said, came through unlocked doors.

"I want to make citizens aware that they should be locking their doors," Pierce said. "We don't want people to be afraid, just cautious."

Both burglaries are still under investigation.

It would not be in a burglar's best interest to enter our home while we are sleeping. I promise he won't get what he came for.

You should always lock your doors. We don't live in a safe, trusting society anymore. Fortunately the people only stole merchandise-not someone's life. Be safe ya'll!
