Washington Township Circle Club
The Washington Township Circle Club met on Oct. 11, at Doris Romas' home.
Judy England called the meeting to order at 1 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance and Homemaker's Creed were repeated in unison.
Rosalind gave devotions "Prayer for peace, growing old," and "Because you are my friends."
Brenda led singing, "You are my sunshine."
The secretary and treasurer's reports were given and approved.
Judy's Health and Safety lesson "Cover your ears kids," about the results of second hand smoking on children's health.
Linda's citizenship lesson was on county government, civil township, school townships and special districts.
Judy gave reports on business, meeting and lessons.
On Oct. 25, at the fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m., will be homemade gifts for the holidays.
We voted to pay for 2011 Achievement Day awards.
Linda gave the lesson, "What's sticky with glutin."
We closed with singing the Homemaker's Prayer.
The next meeting will be Nov. 10, at 10 a.m., at Linda's home.
We will finish duck's for county projects. We will have a carry-in dinner and meeting at 1 p.m.
