He was born April 27, 1921, in Bloomington, Ind., to Russell and Faye (Sims) Sanburn.
Lynn worked for years as a school bus driver, then a truck driver for Winders, and worked as an inspector for Allison's until his retirement in 1981.
After his retirement, he worked at Dunigan's Appliance.
He always commented how much he loved his jobs.
He was a member of Spencer First Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Sanburn enjoyed horses and gardening.
He is survived by son Roger Sanburn, Spencer, daughters Rita (Bob) Sampson, Brazil, and Cathy (Randy) Patterson, Spencer, grandchildren Bob (Marlene) Sampson, Lori (Ty) Marlow, Joshua Sanburn, Holly (Matt) Lantz, Hope (Justin) Hobbs, and Heath Patterson, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Wilma (Ranard) Sanburn, his parents, brother Theodore Robert Sanburn, stepfather Troy Britton, and stepsister Pearl Livingston.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 26, at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home, with Pastor James Ranard and Pastor Bob Sampson officiating.
Friends may call 4-8 p.m., Friday, Nov. 25, and Saturday, from 10 a.m., until time of the service at the funeral home.
