Area church offers thanks

To the Editor:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our Help-A-Family-At-Christmas golf scramble.

The following businesses and individuals sponsored entire holes at the scramble: Brazil Automotive, Brazil Family Medicine, Clay County Furnace, Crawl's Basements and More, Dr. Austin Burns DDS, Dr. Paul Houston, Dr. RL Dennany III DDS, Edward-Jones -- Toni Carter, French Funeral Home, G. Long's Auto Exchange, H&R Block, Hapenny Family, Homes Express, Hoosier Homes and Land, House of Spirits, In Memory of Allen Funk, J&N Metal Products, Loughmiller Farms Inc., In Memory of Joe Hendrickson, Moore Funeral Home, Premier Tax Service, Proffitt Grandkids, Reyher Family, Riddell National Bank, Royer Family, Terre Haute Savings Bank, The Brazil Times, The Coffee Grounds of Brazil, Thermo King, V.F.W. Post No. 1127, plus two anonymous church families and Sunday School classes.

Donations were also made by Goodies Galore, Ceres LLC, and Sugar N Spice.

A very special thanks to Forest Park Golf Course Pro Mark Rogers and his staff for helping to ensure a good event.

The money raised from this event will help to clothe approximately 50 young people from our community at Christmas. We were also able to make a donation to the Linus Project from monies raised.
