Katheryn was born Nov. 13, 1919, in Nashville, Wis., the fourth daughter of the late Hugh and Florence (Clark) Dickison's 13 children.
She was united in marriage to Harold E. Kidwell, who preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1984.
Katy worked for several years at Indiana State University, retiring as a housekeeper.
She belonged to the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary No. 972, and the American Legion Auxiliary No. 346.
Many will remember her as a remarkable, amazing woman, who was always giving and more than dedicated to her entire family. She will truly be missed by all who knew her, and her legacy will live on for generations to come.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Patty Jean Donnerberg, Terre Haute, and Catherine and husband Jessie Hollis Sr., Alvin, Texas, bother Henry Rex Dickison, grandchildren David W. Hayes Jr., William Phillip Norris Jr., Frank R. Shafer Jr., Tony K. Willis, Starla Jean Willis Brown, and two step-grandchildren, Anthony Douglas Hollis and Jessie E. Hollis Jr.
Also surviving are a host of many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Katy was preceded in death by her grandchildren Paul Harold Mason, Timmy Eugene Hayes, Stephen Michael Norris and Helen "Christy" Swiger Willis Hollis, as well as three sisters and eight brothers.
Visitation will take place Tuesday from 4-8 p.m., and again Wednesday, from 10 a.m., until the time of Katy's funeral at 11 a.m., at the Thomas Funeral Home, Terre Haute.
Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Brazil.
