Belinda J. (Booker) Rogers, 58, Brazil, crossed over Nov. 29, 2011, at Terre Haute Regional following an extended battle with diabetes.

She was born in Vincennes, Jan. 18, 1953, the daughter of Darwin "Book" Booker and Marjorie Ruth (Boardman) Booker. Belinda graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1971.

After high school she worked at several places namely Quick Pick South in Brazil, Brazil City Hall and the YMCA of Clay County.

Belinda also spent much of her time volunteering at the Y for different community activities.

She and her fiancÚ, Jeff, enjoyed riding their motorcycle.

They have been on several cross country trips as well as numerous weekend adventures. Belinda also enjoyed spending time with her son and daughter-in-law, grandchildren, sister, nieces and nephews and many friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Darwin and Marjorie Booker; husband Michael Rogers; brother Jim Booker.

She is survived by her son Michael Rogers Jr. and wife April, Terre Haute; fiancÚ Jeff Galbraith; Theresa Young and husband Don, Brazil; brother Daniel Booker, Los Angeles, Calif.; grandchildren Isaac Rogers, Rebecca Berry, Darrell Shear and Ava Deleon; as well as many extended family members.

Services for Belinda will be at French Funeral Home, Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at 1 p.m., with Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the YMCA of Clay County in her memory.
