He was born Jan. 5, 1942, in Clay County, as the son of Ralph and Reba Bowers Bryan. He graduated from Brazil High School. He married Barbara Sue Pullum Feb. 13, 1964. He did upholstery work at Historic Motor Cars in Terre Haute, and then he worked until retirement as a pipefitter with Union Local 157. He was a member of the Sportsman's Club, and he was also active in the local Habitat for Humanity organization.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Melvin, Ted and Ronnie Bryan.
He is survived by his wife Sue Bryan; son Douglas Bryan and wife Crystal, Brazil; daughter Reba Hierholzer and husband Jack, Pensacola, Fla.; grandchildren Christian, Cody, Cory and Shane Bryan, Marlee Hierholzer, Dakota Barker and Madison Hierholzer; step-grandchildren Crystal and Santos Castaneda and Lupita Hernandez; siblings Jim Bryan, Mary Ann Bohler and Martha Heal; father and mother-in-law Delbert and Thelma Pullum; brother and sister-in-law Gerry and Kay Pullum; and other extended family.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Monday, Dec. 5, at Moore Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at noon Monday with burial to follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
