Staunton First Christian Church

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister. If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheel-chair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30, in the Educational Building.

Sunday evening service starts at 6 p.m. Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meet at 7 p.m.

Everyone is invited to go Christmas Caroling at local nursing homes after morning worship service on Sunday, Dec. 18.

The elders will meet at 6 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 12, followed by the regular meeting of the church board at 7 p.m.

The Christian Fellowship Club will meet for lunch at Pizza Hut in Brazil at 11:30, on Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Staunton United Methodist Church

Our annual Christmas party will be held on Sunday Dec. 18, beginning at 6 p.m.

The evening will begin with a short program of worship and praise, followed by a time for refreshments and fellowship in the church basement. Everyone is invited to attend.

The weekly Zumba session will be Tuesday, Dec. 13, at 5:30 p.m. in the church basement. Our pastor's wife, Diana Aselage, a certified Zumba instructor, leads the sessions. Everyone is invited to attend, and donations go to benefit the church.

Sunday School is at 9:30, with Church Service following at 10:30.

Scott Aselage is our Pastor and Glenna Simons is our pianist.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church's basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next Food Pantry day will be Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations, and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
