Dorothy Leota Campbell, 99, Centerpoint passed away on Dec. 2, 2011, at her home with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born Jan. 23, 1912, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Smith) Keiser. She was a part of the Bowling Green High School graduating class of 1929. Following high school she graduated from Browns Business College. After college, Dorothy was Deputy Clerk of Clay County. She married Keith Dillon Campbell on March 20, 1945, in Jacksonville, NC.
Dorothy enjoyed watching the Pacers, gardening, canning, sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Keith Dillon Campbell; parents Albert and Mary (Smith) Keiser; brothers Glen Keiser, Maurice Keiser and William Keiser. She had four siblings that died in infancy, sister Thelma Keiser and brothers Paul Keiser, Carl Keiser and Albert Jr. Keiser.
She is survived by two daughters Carol E. Elmer and husband William J., Boonville, Ind., Barbara L. Pell, Greenwood; grandchildren Lincoln Pell, Orlando, Fla., Tracey McGookey and husband Scott, Bloomington, Joshua Elmer and wife Chanel, Boonville, Ind., Tobias Elmer and wife Katy. Evansville; great grandchildren Kelsie Bergman, Aaron Bergman, Cam McGookey and Ike Elmer.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Poland Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Franklin Haines officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Poland Chapel Cemetery. Visit www.frenchfuneralhome.com to light a candle in her remembrance.
