Jo Lucas, 84, Saline City, passed away Dec. 11, 2011, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born in Wheatland, Ind., Sept. 18, 1927, the daughter of Harry Waldon and Jeannie (Bemis) Waldon.

Jo married Herschel E. Lucas March 27, 1948, who preceded her in death Dec. 13, 1989.

She worked for RCA as a product inspector, retiring in October 1989.

She was preceded in death by her husband Herschel, parents Harry and Jennie Waldon, special sister Ruby J. Lundy, another sister Mildren Rehmel, and brother Harry C.E. Waldon.

She is survived by sons Donal G. Lucas (Karen), Wichita, Kan., and Danny Joe Lucas (JoAnn), Charleston, W.Va., daughters Sylvia V. Smith, Lafayette, Ind., and Rebecca "Becky" A. Lucas, Saline City, Ind., granddaughters Angela Foster (Grege), Kathy Jo Renner (Bill), Tammy A. Bullock (Jesse), and Christina N. Wagner, 12 great-grandchildren, two step great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Graveside services will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at 2 p.m., with Pastor Bob Sampson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or her daughter Becky Lucas.
