A time to just relax, let go of all troubles and enjoy the moments.
A time for family, for giving, for joy.
Merry and I have taken James David to visit Santa Claus three times already and, aside from the first visit, he has enjoyed his time on Santa's lap.
All James David really wanted for Christmas was simple: Cars.
He loves cars. And it happened overnight.
It was as if he woke up one morning and cars were the only thing he could think of.
In fact, he named the fish that bathes with him, "Car."
Everyone I know enjoys receiving during this time of year.
But I enjoy the family aspect of Christmas. Nothing makes me happier than spending time with family I don't get much of a chance to see.
The three of us spent the better part of Saturday in Indianapolis with family for a Christmas event.
James David had an opportunity to open up a handful of gifts and you could tell which gift he enjoyed the most.
You guessed it: The box full of cars from his great aunt.
Getting to see family is truly the most wonderful part of the holidays.
Sure, receiving is great. Wonderful gestures from family and friends.
But, I have everything I truly want.
I have a beautiful, loving wife.
I have a beautiful, loving son.
I have a beautiful, loving family.
What more could a man ask for?
