Lola Nadene 'Deenie' Potter

Lola Nadene "Deenie" Potter, 88, Brazil, died Dec. 18, 2011, at 12:15 p.m., at Cloverleaf Healthcare Facility.

She was born May 8, 1923, in Blanchard, Okla., the daughter of Cliff and Sarah Southard.

On Feb. 15, 1940, she was united in marriage to William "Slim" Potter. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 2011. They were married more than 71 years.

During the years they lived in California, they were members of the White Ave. Baptist Church.

While in the Brazil area, they attended the First Baptist Church and the Carbon Baptist Church.

Deenie enjoyed sewing, quilting and cooking for family and friends. She also tutored young children in year's past.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law Jackie Potter, grandchildren Kimber Plemmons and husband Tom, Roachdale, Brent Potter, Brazil, great-grandchildren Broc Potter, Lindsey Potter and Weston Detienne, niece Sarah Hansen, nephew Duane Ward, Yukon, Okla., other nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Slim" Potter, their dear son Danny Potter Dec. 25, 2010, eight brothers and sisters.

Services will take place Wednesday, at 1 p.m., at French Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Sampson officiating.

Burial will take place at Summit Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
