Elizabeth Ann Yocom, 67, Brazil, died at 12:20 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at her residence.

She was born July 17, 1944, in Terre Haute, Ind., as the daughter of Wayne and Dorothy Hagan Stewart. She graduated from Schulte High School with the Class of 1962. She began work as a secretary at Indiana State University and then Great Dane. She then went back to school at Ivy Tech to become an LPN nurse, graduating in 1993. In 1994 she began working at St. Mary of the Woods, retiring in 2009. She married Bud R. Yocom January 18, 1964. She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Terre Haute and Annunciation Catholic Church in Brazil.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandsons Ryan Wayne Yocom and Jon Thomas "JT" Yocom.

She is survived by her husband, Bud R. Yocom; daughters, Julie Yocom, Terre Haute and Heather (Jay) Swalley, Bowling Green; sons, Jon (Carey) Yocom of Staunton, Anthony (Robin) Yocom Brazil and Lance Yocom; brothers, Larry (Nancy) Stewart and Dick (Becky) Stewart, all of Terre Haute; sister, Judy (Mike) McDaniel Avondale, Ariz.; and mother-in-law, Trena Yocom, Olympia, Wash. She is also survived by grandchildren, Justin, Cami, Brett, and Jesse Yocom and Elizabeth Huey, John Maesch, Danni Wallace, and Bradly Wallace; great grandchildren, Justina Yocom, Luke Allbrock, and Cole Huey; step grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan Albers and Jamie and Thomas Varner; step great grandchildren, Layla Albers; and other extended family.

Visitation will be from 4 -- 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22 at Moore Funeral Home. A Rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 23 at Annunciation Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
