Viola Maxine Quilliam, 94, Brazil, passed away at the Exceptional Living Center, Dec. 21, 2011, following an extended illness.

She was born May 21, 1917, in Greencastle, Ind., the daughter of Walter and Esta (Crawley) Burch. Viola graduated from Brazil High School and married Vincent Quilliam Nov. 4, 1939; he preceded her in death on April 14, 2002.

Viola enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her husband Vincent. She was a charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene. Viola was a homemaker and enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning.

Along with her parents Viola was preceded in death by her siblings Scharlotte Bernice Quilliam and husband Orval, Karis Althea Fugate and husband Joe, Kenneth Franklin Burch and wife Christine, Stanley Joseph Burch and wife Rosemary, Mary Francis Hargett and husband William, Trillis Mozella Weese and husband William, and Burl Keith Burch and wife Kathy.

Viola was survived by one brother Lester Owen Burch and wife Norma, Greenfield, Ind.; two daughters Judith Ann Ehrlich, Brazil, Darleen Carol Crosby and husband James, Flower Mound, Texas; grandchildren Jeffery Ehrlich (Janie), Brazil, Stephen Ehrlich (Glenda), Brazil, Krista Davis (Daniel), Lee's Summit, Mo., and Shannon Mejia (Earl), Mesquite, Texas; great grandchildren Caitlyn Ehrlich, Shaylyn Ehrlich, Heidi Ehrlich, Skylar Ehrlich, Delaney Ehrlich, Addison Ehrlich, E.J. Mejia, Shon Mejia, J.D. Davis and Cole Davis.

Services will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, at 1 p.m., with Rev. George Hewitt officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
