Staunton First Christian Church News

Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30. Doug Parkey is the minister.

If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheelchair equipped.

The children will present their Christmas program during morning worship.

Children's Church and Wee Worship meet at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building. There will be no Sunday evening service nor Wednesday evening Bible Study and Prayer Group meetings this week.

Christmas Eve service will begin at 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 24.

Staunton United Methodist Church News

On Christmas Eve, the church will be open from 4:45-5:45 p.m., for anyone who wishes to partake of Holy Communion.

You can stay as long as you wish during this hour of prayer and thankfulness.

Weekly Zumba sessions will resume Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012.

Everyone is invited to attend, and donations go to benefit the church.

Remember that the Community Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 3-5 p.m., on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month.

The next food pantry day will be Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome.

We appreciate the support of all the churches, schools, civic organizations and individuals who help make this needed outreach a success.

Please keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.

Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals and those who have lost loved ones.

Go out of your way to be kind to someone and pray for everyone.
