Edward "Ed" A. McCullough, 63, Brazil, died Dec. 28, 2011, at Methodist Hospital, following a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 11, 1948, in Clinton, the son of Marvin McCullough and Jean Howard McCullough, and was raised on the family farm.
He graduated from Turkey Run High School and then furthered his education at Purdue University.
On April 4, 1971, he married Lou Sinda Wilkey McCullough.
He began his work career with National Homes and then later Pulte Homes in the mortgage-corporate finance department.
In 1985, he moved his family to Clay County and he had his own business of certified financial planning, primarily working with farmers.
He was currently working at the time of his death.
He had his priorities in life of family first, followed by his interest in farming and his career, and lastly his love of sports. He was an avid sports enthusiast, watching every channel of ESPN possible. He will be remembered as a loving husband, dad and grandpa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years Sindy McCullough, Brazil, sons Chad McCullough and wife Emily, and Todd McCullough and wife Kellie, all of Franklin, grandchildren Wyatt, Adrie, Chloe, Madelyn and Grace, brother Les McCullough and wife Connie, Rockville, and other extended family.
Services will take place Monday, at 10 a.m., at French Funeral Home, with Pastor Kenneth Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Bono Cemetery, south of Dana.
Visitation will be Sunday, from 4-8 p.m., and again Monday, prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association or charity of choice.
