Mrs. Lister was born May 7, 1933, in Clay County, the daughter of Monte and Cebie (Cobb) Phillips.
Bonnie was retired from P.R. Malory as a machine operator with more than 13 years of service and was a member of Staunton Christian Church.
Mrs. Lister was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry Swearingen, brothers Harlan, Lester, Charlie, Art and Robert Phillips, sisters Joan Phillips, Lucy France, Mary Weaver, Annabelle Barr and Lorene Brindle, and great-granddaughter Novaleigh Abel Huffer.
Survivors include her husband of more than 35 years Frederick D. Lister, children Ernie (Sandy) Swearingen, Larry (Jinny) Swearingen, Gerald (Trish) Swearingen and Kimberly (James) Huffer, brother Ernie Phillips, sister Betty Johnson, grandchildren Laura, Shawn and Scott Swearingen, Jason (Heather) Swearingen, Collin (Jenny) Swearingen, Cameron (Laura) Swearingen, Chad (Amanda) Huffer and Kahla (Brian) Huffer-Smitley, great-grandchildren Austin, Seth Westfall, Gavin Huffer, Aiden, Madison and Spencer Swearingen.
Funeral services will be noon Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at the Moore Funeral Home, 142 N. Washington St., Brazil, with Rev. Doug Parkey officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon.
Burial will take place at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
