Behind Schedule

The Sanitation Department will run one day behind schedule due to the holidays during the week of Jan. 2-6.

Ivy Tech Classes

The Linking Education to Adults, Adolescents and Preschoolers (LEAAP) Center, 501 E. Jackson St., Brazil, and Ivy Tech Community College are teaming together to offer college courses for interested individuals.

Presentation

The Wabash Valley Genealogy Society will welcome Tim Phipps at its meeting Monday.

Phipps will present, "Family History in the Civil War Era."

The program is open to the public and will take place at the Vigo County Public Library, from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m.

Bee Documentary

The Wabash Valley Bee Club is inviting all to view the documentary, "Vanishing of the Bees," Jan. 11, 2012, in Meeting Room C of the Vigo County Public Library.

3D Snowflakes!

Interested individuals are invited to the Brazil Public Library at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 19, to learn how to make a 3D snowflake.

The program is free for adults and open to the public. For more information about adult, teen and youth programs, call 448-1981.

Blood Drive

The Indiana Blood Center will host a blood drive at the Brazil National Guard Armory Jan. 21, 2012, from noon-3 p.m. The blood center hosts hundreds of drives each month.

Gardener Courses

Classes for the Purdue Master Gardeners course will begin Feb. 13, and conclude May 14.

Cost for the program is $115, which covers course materials, speakers and a copy of the New Purdue Master Gardener book that was recently created.

The deadline to register is Jan. 31, at 4 p.m.
