The Alpha Omega Chapter of Kappa Kappa Kappa met on Nov. 28, 2011, at 6 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church. Our hostess for the month was Kristin Beasley.
The meeting was called to order by Meganne Stepp, and we began our evening with our opening verse and song with seventeen members present. Nichole Keller took roll and read the November minutes.
Kristen Beasley gave the treasurer's report and both were accepted as read.
Bills to be allowed were discussed next and Larissa Goshen submitted a bill for $100 for the purchase of gift cards for the Home Tour participants.
A motion was made by Theresa Underwood to reimburse her and Christy Casassa seconded it.
The bill for Uncle Al's was also submitted and Mary Yelton motioned for it to be paid and Danna Johnson seconded it.
Correspondence was read next and we received a letter from Habitat for Humanity requesting a donation. A donation of $150 is currently in this year's budget for the organization.
Courtesy and little perks were discussed next. Heather Campbell celebrated a December birthday and was given the Maurizio's gift certificate by Jamie Bell.
Project committees were presented next, and we made roughly $850 from nut sales and $570 from roll sales.
Old business was discussed next and we are currently working with the Christmas in the Park to come up with a price for the Christmas angel. The new member process was discussed next and a decision was made to keep the process open until February.
Longaberger bingo was discussed next and the committee was asked to think about a date for the spring.
The next meeting will be on Jan. 9, at the LEAPP Center and hostesses will by Mary Yelton and Cindy Watts.
The closing verse was recited and Christy Casassa made a motion to close the meeting at 8:25 p.m., and Kristen Beasley seconded it.
