She was born Feb. 5, 1927, in Clay County, the daughter of William and Clara Bemis Ellison.
She was married to Ralph Philabaum. He preceded her in death in 1960.
She raised her children as a single parent.
In years past, she enjoyed bowling, helping others with housework and yard work.
She attended Carbon Baptist Church. She enjoyed "Walker Texas Ranger," and most of all, she enjoyed going to Hardee's in Brazil, drinking coffee and spending time with friends.
Her family was very important to her and she will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her children Vickie Hardestey, Shelbyville, and Ricky Philabaum, Carbon, grandchildren Alonda Hastings and Scott Hardesty, great-grandchildren Brook Hastings, Michael Hardesty, Lexus Hardesty and Taylor Hardesty, sister Rosemary Siegelin (Jim), Brazil, and John Ellison (Wilma), Brazil, many nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph Philabaum, son-in-law Fred Hardesty, brothers Kennety Ellison and Wayne Ellison, and sisters Marjorie Thomas and Maxine Jones.
Services will take place Thursday, at 2 p.m., at Lawson-Miller Chapel, with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating.
Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, from noon-2 p.m.
