ROCKVILLE -- To help families cut the cost of formal dress wear, the Parke County 4-H Fair Board will host a prom dress sale Saturday, Jan. 28, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at the Parke County Extension Office Meeting Room, located on the Parke County Fairgrounds, Rockville.
A 5 percent commission will be charged on each dress sold and money raised will help defray the cost of the 2011 Parke County 4-H Fair Queen Contest.
Individuals wishing to sell their formal wear may bring them to the Parke County Extension Office beginning Monday, Jan. 23.
Each person selling dresses will be assigned a number for tracking purposes.
The seller is to set the price for each dress and clearly state the price and size on the tags, which will be provided.
The commission will be deducted from the selling price only if the dress sells.
Checks will be issued to those individuals from the fair board.
Those selling do not need to be present during the sale.
